Marques de France is a referencing site for brands that are 100% made in France.
Indeed, all the manufacturing steps are carried out in our workshop in Île-de-France.
But we also subcontract with various French craftsmen for the finalization of certain jewels.
When creating a piece of jewelry, it starts with a wax sculpture, this piece is then deposited with a melter who will cast it in different metals according to demand (925 silver, 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold, platinum); this is the technique of lost wax casting, also used in the art world.
If there is a stone, it's set by hand by a setter using a binocular.
For the vermeil, the electroplating intervenes and covers the silver with a beautiful 18ct yellow gold dress by electrolytic deposition.
There is also polishing, the final touch of the jewel so that it shines or gives it matte or aged effects.
Thus a jewel passes through several hands of French craftsmen to sublimate it.
There is something magical... Don't you think?
